Foxpassers’ is an ongoing photo project by Karan Kumar Sachdev documenting the youth of the Foxpassers Football Club in Shivaji Nagar, Mumbai. The project illustrates many emotions that were experienced on the football ground and a narrative is formed as Karan reprocesses the emotions these players undergo between moments.
Through this visual essay he translates the deep influence playing competitive sports can have– the grit, perseverance, teamwork, and hard work it teaches, and the highs and lows of playing.
A few instances he recalls from the day he photographed these children, as he narrates,
“the final whistle blew.”
